TRUAX BOUT CHANGED FOLLOWING OPPONENT TROUBLE

mnboxing-1
Caleb Truax faces off this afternoon with his new opponent, Darnell Boone.

Caleb Truax’s scheduled opponent Joshua Okine has fallen through as well as a late replacement fighter for his bout tomorrow night in Minneapolis. Now, Truax will be facing respected Atlanta, Georgia native Darnell Boone (23-23-4, 12 KO’s) on the undercard to Phil Williams’ state title defense against Mengistu Zarzar. Okine fell off after the New Jersey State Commission would not accept an eye exam that was done with the understanding it would have cleared Okine.
Due to the short notice circumstances, the Truax-Boone fight will be an 8 round exhibition bout. Boone visited Minnesota last October to get in some sparring with Truax at the ACR Gym in Coon Rapids so the two are familiar with each other in the ring.
